Action projects: deadline for submission of Action projects – April 19
In view of the great interest in the Active Citizens Fund Action projects call for proposal during the last weeks and the remaining balance for this project call, the board of the ACF have decided to set the final deadline for submission of Action projects: April 19, 2022, 23:59.
The call for proposal for Action projects was announced on June 19, 2020, and funding has been allocated for the implementation of 18 urgent civic initiatives so far. The remaining balance for this project call is EUR 51,207.99.
“In 2018, when we were planning the Action project call for proposal and providing a special budget line for the support of NGOs for solving unforeseen and urgent situations, we did not even imagine that this project call would play such an important role one day. We are pleased that Latvian civil society bodies are actively participating in the support activities of the people of the Ukraine, but at the same time we understand very well that often, additional volunteer work also requires financial investments, so we are glad that with the ACF Action project call, we can provide organizations with even a small amount of financial support for the implementation of these important initiatives. However, the organizations’ interest in this competition and the large number of project applications over the last weeks have rapidly "emptied" the Action project funds, so unfortunately, the last chance to submit these projects will be at the end of April. It is very likely that we will be able to open a tender for Action projects later, if some funding remains in the supported Strategic projects, which we can transfer to Action projects,” – said Kristīne Zonberga, chairperson of the ACF board.
We kindly invite all applicants preparing Action Projects to read the project call regulations before submitting their project and to consult the ACF regional coordinators-consultants.
