In order to raise awareness about democracy and promote participation in its processes, the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) has launched an open call for proposals for a communication campaign on democracy. The call for proposals is open until 24 October and a seminar on the call will be held on 7 September 2.p.m. Read more

The final Active Citizens Fund (ACF) project call for implementing communication campaign on democracy will be launched at the end of August. The rules and the application form will be available after the official launch of the call for proposals. The deadline for submission of projects will be the end of October. Read more

On 23 May 2023, the Board of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) approved the results of the restricted call for bilateral cooperation initiatives with donor organisations. In this evaluation round, 3 initiatives were supported, in which Latvian organisations will strengthen their cooperation with Norway. Read more

Within the restricted call for bilateral cooperation initiatives under the program “Bilateral and regional cooperation” the ACF has received 8 initiatives to strengthen partnerships with partners from donor states. Read more

In order to help strengthen partnerships with donor country partners in the existing ACF Strategic and Capacity Projects, the ACF announced – within the framework of the "Bilateral and Regional Cooperation" programme – a closed call for bilateral initiatives that provide added value to the achievement of the project's goal and strengthen mutual trust and exchange of knowledge between the organizations involved in the existing partnership. Two initiatived have been submitted and both have received support in this round of assessment. Read more

On August 10, 2022, the Board of the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) approved the results of the third Strategic project call for proposals: of 15 competing projects, 4 were awarded a grant, the total grant sum amounting to 417 635,87 euro. Read more

On 29 June 2022, the third Active Citizens Fund (ACF) Strategic projects call “Strengthening Human Rights in Latvia” was closed, with a total of 15 project applications received. The total funding required from the ACF is EUR 1 298 844.48, which is 3.5 times the amount available in the project call. Read more

Within the framework of the closed tender for bilateral cooperation initiatives, the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) has supported four initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with donor country organizations. The purpose of these initiatives is to stimulate cross-border cooperation with bodies in Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway. Read more
