Project call for implementing communication campaign on democracy will be launched at the end of August

The final Active Citizens Fund (ACF) project call for implementing communication campaign on democracy will be launched at the end of August. The rules and the application form will be available after the official launch of the call for proposals. The deadline for submission of projects will be the end of October.

The objective of the call is, by funding a communication campaign, to promote awareness of democracy and the importance of people’s participation in democratic processes, also promoting positive attitude towards democracy and involvement in these processes. The campaign should demonstrate, through examples, the different forms of covic participation and methods of involvement, and should aim to reach as wide a public as possible throughout Latvia.

The funding available for this call for proposals is EUR 140 000 and ACF will support one project. Projects can be submitted by NGOs (associations or foundations), and experienced communication professionals must be involved in the implementation of the campaign. The campaign must be implemented until 30.04.2023.

Limit of total ACF grant of EUR 138 000 per project promoter does not apply for this call. Thus, organisations that have previously implemented ACF projects or received organisational grant are also eligible.
