Results of the first Strategic project call
On 31 August 2020 the Board of the Consortium approved the results of the first Strategic projects call. A total of 30 projects for a total amount of € 2 898 157.51 were approved - 27 projects under the program ”Democracy Culture” and 3 projects under the program “Human Rights”.
On 29 July 2020 the first open call for Strategic projects was completed with a total of 93 project applications received - 75 in the program “Democracy Culture” and 18 in the program “Human Rights”. The largest competition and at the same time a particularly high quality of projects was in the program “Human Rights”, where the total funding requested was €1 724 110,94 or 5.5 times more than the amount available (€ 315 000). Unfortunately, due to the limited funding of this program only 3 projects could receive the funding of the EEA/Norway Grants.
All project applicants will receive information on the decision taken in the ACF project system by 31 August (midnight). Detailed information on the assessment results of each project, including project assessors’ comments, will be notified in the forthcoming days, but not later than 21 September, 2020. Applicants of approved projects will also receive full information on the decision taken, including clarifications needed and conditions to be fulfilled (if any), in the forthcoming days, but no later than 21 September 2020.
The EEA and Norway Grants represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway towards a green, competitive and inclusive Europe. There are two overall objectives: reduction of economic and social disparities in Europe, and to strengthen bilateral relations between the donor countries and 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics.
